Bakersfield January Weather Report
More beautiful Bakersfield weather coming up in January. With sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s, it’s absolutely perfect to enjoy the great outdoors and everything orange.
The Weather is Great
Hop in your car – doesn’t matter if it’s orange – and go to Murray Family Farms for all kinds of orange fruits and vegetables…
- Persimmons – Originally from China, persimmon trees have been grown for thousands of years for their delicious fruit and beautiful wood. Their orange-colored fruits are known for their sweet, honey-like flavor.
- Butternut squash – A type of winter squash that grows on a vine. It has a sweet, nutty taste similar to that of a pumpkin. It has orange-yellow skin and orange fleshy pulp with a compartment of seeds in the blossom end.
- Pumpkins – They’re big, they’re orange, and sometimes, they’re free.

Orange is the New Orange
Thank goodness for WiFi at Orange Grove RV Park. Get comfy in your RV and tune in to Netflix for the most-watched series ever…
Orange is the New Black
Seven seasons of drama and (occasionally) comedy follow the lives of two women in prison. Will there be a Season 8? Watch and find out. For adults and older teens.
Garfield
Is the best orange kitty! Watch all 4 seasons of the Garfield show, plus several more Garfield movies on Netflix. Nice orange kitty for little kids.
Pick oranges off our trees!
Not on Netflix – it’s real life! In Southern California, Navel oranges are generally harvested from January to late spring, with blood oranges in the same approximate seasonal range to slightly later. Oranges for everybody!
